New Direction

I think I want to take my design in a new direction. Instead of creating underwear and an over garment. I want to design a beautifully created garment (s) with a delicate and beautiful surface pattern which combine the two into one. I want to use more unusual fabrics and improve my pattern cutting skills.

All of this came after doodling with my brothers new handwriting pen. :)

The crit went well and I am really excited to get back to college and take it further. I am rethinking what I intend to design and make. I want to continue exploring possible fabrics and I am going to work hard on my surface pattern as i want it to be such a beautiful narrative.

Prince Charles and a Fashion Show

On Thursday Fashion:Lab put on a fashion show and our VIP guest was only Prince Charles! A group of about 8 from the new second years organised it. We chose a range of garments which used sustainable materials and also went well together. My catastrophe was included ! I was so happy and proud to see it go down the catwalk again and also inspired to ensure my future garments are also catwalk worthy, as you never know when they could be used.

I enjoyed this opportunity SO much and was very impressed we managed to organise it successfully.

Oh and we are on the news!
